At the heart of the design is a fully custom StruXure bioclimatic pergola. These pergolas are tailored to seamlessly complement the client’s home while solving some unique architectural challenges. This wasn’t your standard install. We design and engineer each pergola to blend perfectly with the home’s aesthetic and roofline variations.
Built to Belong
One standout feature in this pergola is the custom brick-wrapped posts. This is a design choice that truly ties the entire space together. The same brick used on the home’s exterior was incorporated into the pergola. This creates a cohesive look that makes the structure feel like it was part of the original build, not an add-on. It’s a small detail with a big impact, bringing visual harmony and a timeless finish. This is a design element that we often try to incorporate into designs. Designed for Complexity
This home has multiple rooflines at different heights, which required a creative approach. We incorporated custom risers into the pergola design to ensure a balanced and integrated fit across the entire structure. These risers allowed us to build the pergola up and around the home’s unique roof elevations. Resulting in a smooth, polished finish that looks effortless, even though the design work behind it was anything but. The risers in this project keep the sun out as well as the rain.
Clean Lines Meet Fun Design
The pergola itself features a crisp white and tan color palette. This adds brightness and a sense of openness to the space. And while the pergola steals the show structurally, this project also includes a playful and practical addition: a mini putting green. Turf not only introduces a fun element for family and guests, but it also visually softens the space. Adding a clean and modern contrast to the brick and pergola.
